The Heckler and Koch USP carried by Robert De Niro as Neil McCauley in Michael Mann’s Heat (1995) is Lot 166 in Hanlin’s Movie and TV Memorabilia Auction on November 6 and 7, 2026. It comes from my collection.

McCauley’s Sidearm
Heat put De Niro and Al Pacino on screen together and set a standard for crime films that still holds. De Niro’s McCauley is a professional thief who lives by the rule of walking away from anything in thirty seconds, and this H&K USP is his sidearm in the early part of the film, starting with the armored car robbery that opens the story. Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore and Jon Voight round out the crew.
Weapons from Heat are some of the most wanted props in crime-film collecting because of how carefully Mann staged them.

Condition Notes
To be transparent, Hanlin lists this piece as metal and plastic, a gas-powered BB gun, with the magazine missing. Possession rules for prop firearms vary by country and state, so please check yours before bidding.
