Content strategy, construction, acoustics, systems, staffing and launch. When a team builds a studio, one person should own the result. That is the role I play.

When a team decides to build a production company and a facility, the list of people involved grows fast. Architects, contractors, acousticians, broadcast integrators, IT, storage vendors, furniture, lighting, producers, agencies, consultants. Every one of them may be excellent. Very few of them have seen the whole picture.

That is where projects lose time, money and quality.

The Cost of Too Many Calls

Without one owner, it is easy to end up with edit rooms that look beautiful and cannot share media. A podcast studio finished before anyone tested the microphones. A mix room that shares a wall with a mechanical room. Every vendor can do their job well and the result can still fail, because nobody owned the whole thing.

A team should not have to manage that. Its executives have a franchise to run.

What One Call Means

When a team calls me, they get one person accountable for the entire outcome: the content strategy, the production company structure, the facility design, the acoustics, the systems, the build, the training and the first productions.

I bring in the right specialists, and I hold them to one standard and one schedule. When something needs a decision, the team asks one person and gets one answer.

Why Me

I have spent my career at the intersection of creative production, studio design and technology. I have produced and delivered work for artists including Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Shakira, Sting, Journey, KISS, Elton John and Ringo Starr. I have designed and built studios, immersive audio rooms and reference theaters. I run a media and archive business through Modern Drummer. I understand the business of content because I am in it.

I will say it plainly: bringing all of those pieces together for a team, at the highest quality, in the most cost-effective and professional way, is what I do better than anyone. That is not a slogan. It is the reason the projects work.

Bringing all of those pieces together for a team is what I do better than anyone.

Cost-Effective Is Not the Same as Cheap

Teams do not need the most expensive equipment in every room. They need the right decisions in every room. When one person holds the full plan, money goes where it shows on screen and in the mix, and the rest of the budget is protected. Avoiding a rebuild is the biggest saving of all.

The Blueprint Is Being Written

As the Chiefs’ Lara Krug told Front Office Sports, “There wasn’t a blueprint. I think we’re now building the blueprint.” I want to help teams write theirs, and build it right the first time.
