Two screen-used hero guns carried by Steven Seagal as Detective Gino Felino in Out for Justice (1991) are Lots 253 and 254 in Hanlin’s Movie and TV Memorabilia Auction on November 6 and 7, 2026: his Colt MK IV Series 70 pistol and his Ithaca Model 37 shotgun. Both come from my collection.

Seagal at His Peak

Out for Justice is Seagal’s Brooklyn revenge film. Felino sets out to find the mobster who killed his partner, a psychotic Richie Madano played by William Forsythe, with Jerry Orbach, Gina Gershon and Julianna Margulies in her film debut. Seagal co-produced the film, and fans rank it among his best.

Lot 253: The Hero Colt MK IV

Felino’s primary sidearm throughout the film. This is the steel-frame hero Colt MK IV Series 70 Government Model in 9mm, the gun used for close-ups and dramatic reveals rather than a rubber stunt copy. Hanlin notes it was most likely customized by master pistolsmith Terry Tussey. The slide is marked “Colt’s MK IV/Series ’70 Government Model 9mm Luger Caliber.”

Lot 254: The Hero Ithaca M37 Shotgun

This is the shotgun from the film’s turning point, when Felino turns in his standard gear, takes an unmarked car and goes after Madano across Brooklyn. It is an Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 12-gauge with a wood stock and pump. It has been deactivated, and part of the butt stock is broken off.
